A tutorial made to answer 's question about making custom gradients in Flash. This tutorial covers the basics of the process, with room for you to experiment on your own.
I started on this at about 10pm and finished 2am the next morning. So any views expressed in the tutorial are not neccesarily those of my rational mind.

Haha.... I just picked up three or four of my own mistakes. That comes of doing this that late at night. I'll change them when I go back to change anything y'all pick up.
Very nice. Makes me want to go get flash and play around with it. Makes me wish even more for that something called free-time, which I only seem to dimly remember.
Your little comments made me giggle. That sarcasm on/off switch is tough to shut off, ne?

Yeah, I'm kind of back. Uni starts next week so I'm going to be pretty intermittent for a while.
I haven't had the time to go through all the new deviations people posted but my top priority is to reply to comments people leave. ShadowStarry asked for some tips on gradients so I thought I'd whip up a tutorial.
I hope this helps you out if you manage to give it a go! Its good to hear from you again.
Free time... you mean, it still exists? I thought it became an endangered species about the time I started university...
Haha well if you ever do get mucking about with flash and run into any hitches let me know and I'd be happy to help out where possible.
I'm glad the comments made you giggle. I was hoping they'd come accross as funny rather than mean. Oh yes its very hard to shut the sarcasm off sometimes!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
