Other tutorials by me: Flash Sound Tutorial Flash Custom Gradients Tutorial A tutorial on the basics of frame by frame animation in Flash. Some useful tools in the process, as well as keyframing and inbetweening basics are covered. I hope it proves useful to you. FAQ: PLEASE CHECK BEFORE ASKING ANY QUESTIONS! (If I sound abrupt below, forgive me. This is a very old tutorial but three years down the track people are still viewing it. I'm glad about that, but less so about still hearing the same questions).  What program did you use to make this/do you use to animate?- Adobe Flash. Previous versions were published by a different company and are known as Macromedia Flash. How much is Flash to buy? Where can I get it?- As I'm a student I can't afford my own copy. I've used a college workstation to access an edudcational version of the program. - Newest version seems to be $800 NZD. Student license copies are cheaper, but prohibit you making any money. - In my country (New Zealand) I'd look for a second hand version of Flashonline at Trademe. - I don't know where to get it in your country. Try looking for the Adobe website. It might link to a list of stockists in your area. Your tutorial doesn't look anything like what I see in Flash- I made this a wee while ago (see submission date). You've probably got a newer version of the program. How do I do ____? Can you help me with____? - I log into DA seldom and haven't worked much in Flash for a year or more. I can try to help but you're much better off finding a DeviantArt Flash-users club or looking online for a tutorial. Seriously. |

Need to make it more clear that there are TWO tutorials within this one flash animation tutorial, though. Otherwise, good! Very easy to understand, and introduces some good key concepts I'd have to struggle and frustrate myself learning otherwise.
