I have a lot of memories of beaches and the ocean; I was trying to go for a bit of a timeless (ha!) or memory idea/theme/thing. Mathew is having a bit of a thoughtful/emo moment there. Well, I don't think I've ever put so much time into another picture.  If I don't get away from it now I don't know if I'll stop.I hope you like it. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I loved drawing Tarsien fending off the crabs. Originally there were four of them, I think... but I redrew the linework for scratch so it'd be clean enough to colour... and that took a long time, so I cut out some of the detail.

Hahah yes, I don't know if I've ever spent this long on a picture before. Although I want to do it more often so I can learn more.
I like him looking out toward the sky, becuase that's something I like to do, too. Particularly if its a stunning sunset. ^^
I started with the foreground, and by the time I reached the background I'd learned a lot and was starting to enjoy myself more. Although the sky was one of the quickest parts, its one of my favourites.
